About Me

About Me

Technology and gadgets have always been a passion of mine. I also have a strong desire to keep learning how to best integrate devices and other technology activities into my daily routine. There is so much I would like to do with my students using technology, such as begin to move away from worksheets, when students instead can practice or show me what they’ve learned by using an iPad.

Over the years, I have played an integral part in the advancement of technology at my elementary school, including designing the very first elementary school website in Janesville, and securing a grant for a SMART board and several components. I have participated in countless technology related trainings through the district and also Blackhawk Tech, such as Senteo Student Response, Moodle, Citrix, Web 2.0 tools, Photoshop Elements, and more. In April 2015, I was thrilled to attend an iPad conference in Rockford, IL, with a fabulous and informative presenter.

I was introduced to the product "Seesaw" when my school went 1:1 with iPads in the fall of 2016. I fell in love, and can't stop gushing about it. In August 2017 I became a Seesaw Ambassador, and have facilitated nearly a dozen professional development sessions in my district.

I love learning and helping others learn, too.
